I know, I know.... most of you are probably going to click right out of this before you even read it. Why would I want to go back to the age of dunking smelly cloth into nasty smelling water and wash it, hang it to dry and do it all over again? Well, have you ever had to make a run to the store because you were out of diapers? Now, have you ever ran out of diapers during an emergency...probably not. Do you want to ever go through the experience of running out of diapers...probably not.Cloth diapers have come a long way since the time I wore them;) There is no longer a need to fear poking your baby with a pin since they have wonderful velcro, buttons and snappies that make those diapers not only ouchless, but also better-fitted. I love that my skinny-minny daughter has ones that fit on her just perfectly.
I will admit that there are so many options out there that it will make your mind spin so you really just have to jump in and try it. Jillian's Drawer's has a wonderful “test drive” kind of deal that allows you to give a variety of cloth diapers for a full 3 weeks in order to decide which ones fit your needs best. I was so glad I ended up doing this program because I realized I would have bought some that didn't meet my needs. Thanks to this program I found the exact ones that I wanted and the quantity I'd need to use in a day. I'd highly recommend it if you have a baby or plan on having one in the near future. Always good to be prepared!
